Great Midwest Athletic Conference Rolls Out New Logo Package

6.21.17

INDIANAPOLIS – Courtesy of Old Hat Creative, four different Great Midwest Athletic Conference logos for the 2017-18 season have been officially unveiled as the league prepares to welcome five new member institutions.

A primary logo, secondary logo, horizontal logo and ‘G-MAC’ wordmark, are all part of the rebranding package with the conference numbering 13 total schools for the upcoming academic year.

Usage of the new logos will vary. Fans will be seeing the new branding on basketball courts and on football fields as well as banners/signage at all venues.

The new primary logo features more blue, emphasizing the word “Midwest” as the conference steers towards the Great Midwest designation. The secondary logo includes color customization for each school, using two-color PMS (Pantone Matching System) options in the wording and the shield.

Patches on uniforms (for sports where applicable) will be slowly phased in to feature the new Great Midwest secondary logo.

The horizontal logo is more geared for professional use on a letterhead, envelope or e-mail signature. The horizontal logo is also going to be viewable on the baseline in gyms and the G-MAC logo has been approved for use in the lane by the free throw line.

Official championship logos and sport-specific logos are also being produced by the Old Hat Creative sports marketing agency and will be visible on social media and the newly-designed greatmidwestsports.com in the future.

Findlay, Hillsdale, Lake Erie, Ohio Dominican and Walsh, will officially join the league for full membership on Saturday, July 1. Tiffin University has announced it will join the Great Midwest for the 2018-19 academic year.
