2017 Great Midwest Composite Football Schedule

INDIANAPOLIS
– The revamped eight-member Great Midwest Athletic Conference football schedules are starting to round into form as each school continues to finalize game times and dates.

The 2016 inaugural season featured three institutions as Alderson Broaddus beat out Kentucky Wesleyan and Malone for the first league championship trophy.

The landscape for the 2017 season will be significantly different with the addition of five established programs, Findlay, Hillsdale, Lake Erie, Ohio Dominican and Walsh. Tiffin will enter the mix during the 2018 season to provide more depth.

The 2017 Great Midwest football schedule will feature seven games with the eight institutions playing each opponent once. The first week of Great Midwest conference play will begin on Saturday, Sept. 30, and extend through the final weekend of the regular season on Saturday, Nov. 11.

Most schools have four non-conference contests scheduled for an 11-week schedule.

New NCAA regionalization alignment has placed the Great Midwest in Super Region 1 along with the Mountain East Conference (MEC), Northeast-10 Conference (NE-10) and Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC).

The NCAA DII Championship bracket features a 28-team field with seven teams selected from four different super regions. Teams are picked by the national selection committee and this year’s selection show is slated for Sunday, Nov. 12.
