G-MAC Softball Players of the Week (April 10)

INDIANAPOLIS - Davis & Elkins senior outfielder Danielle Norton and Trevecca Nazarene freshman pitcher Raygn Hall were named Great Midwest Athletic Conference Softball Athletes of the Week on the Monday. 

Norton and Hall were each named G-MAC Player and Pitcher of the Week for the third time this season, continuing a strong spring for their respective teams.

Norton had more success from the plate this past week, helping the Senators to a 3-3 record. The senior went 10-for-21 including going 5-7 with two doubles and two runs plated in a doubleheader Saturday at Malone.

Norton, in six games this week, hit .476, with three doubles, three home runs, four runs batted in and scored four runs.

She is now batting .370 on the year with six home runs, nine doubles, 25 RBI and 14 runs scored.

Hall pitched in three games this past week for the Trojans, going 2-0 in back-to-back complete-game shutouts, including a seven strikeout performance against Ohio Valley in a game that the Trojans won in five innings, 17-0.

Hall now sits at 7-8 on the year in 21 games, with an earned run average of 3.08. She leads the league in shutouts with four and is tied for the league lead in games started with 16. Hall has also logged a total of six complete games.
