INDIANAPOLIS – Trevecca Nazarene senior Alexa Rippy was once again the pick for Great Midwest Athletic Conference Women’s Golf Athlete of the Week honors.
 
Rippy and the Trojans continued their spring season at the Saginaw Valley State Invitational, putting together a strong fifth-place team finish out of 19 schools.
 
Rippy earned medalist honors for the third time in the 2016-17 season already, posting a two-round total of 153 (81-72).
 
Rippy has been the wire-to-wire leader so far in scoring average around the G-MAC, now sitting at 76.07 strokes per 18 rounds through 14 total played.
 
Her second-round total of even-par 72 was the best recorded around the league this year. Her previous season-best single-round total was a 74 in the second day of the Skyhawk Invitational.
