The Senators eliminated the reigning tournament runner-up Trojans in impressive fashion as the stars of D&E came out to play. Behind a game-high 28 from G-MAC Player of the Year Kevin Bracy-Davis and a 17 and 10 double-double from Rickenjee Bellevue, the Senators put on an impressive display to open the tournament.
Bracy-Davis scored in a myriad of ways, including a pair of electrifying dunks and a fadeaway three from the corner towards the end of regulation. Bellevue was relentless on the glass as the league’s reigning rebounding champ, setting himself up for four and-one opportunities and collected nine offensive boards.
D&E started pulling away in the first half with 7:21 before the break. The Senators engineered a 15-3 run, capped by a Bracy-Davis dunk plus the foul in transition. He also made a pair of treys in that span while T.J. Owens was also a difference maker in the opening half.
Davis & Elkins maintained a double-digit lead the rest of the way. Trevecca Nazarene was led by 19 points from Donovan Donaldson and 16 from freshman Devin Whitfield. Senior Percy Blade finished with a 13 point, 11-rebound double-double.

A four-point game at the break swelled into a considerable lead before coming down to the wire as Malone tussled with Cedarville in an entertaining afternoon affair.
The Pioneers earned their first postseason win in men’s hoops as a member of the G-MAC and are set now with an intriguing matchup against a hungry Kentucky Wesleyan program with a chip on its shoulder.
Malone led by as many as 19, but the Yellow Jackets stormed back to cut the deficit to three on a long three by Justice Montgomery from the wing. Dazhonetae Benett scored two of his 19 points with 1:17 left, but Malone’s Kamron Carroll calmly made two free throws to help ice the final.
Malone forward Mitchell Spotleson was 8-of-11 from the field and led four Pioneers in double-figures with 19 points. He also had 12 rebounds to complete the double-double.
First-team all-conference guard Ty Jordan added 15 points, seven rebounds and seven assists, while Christian Graves and Nate Sheppard each made a trio of triples from beyond the arc.
Patrick Bain finished with 14 points, the G-MAC’s third all-time leading scorer J.C. Faubion finished his brilliant career with 12 and Easton Bazzoli, also on the cusp of the 1,000-point club, finished with 13.
