INDIANAPOLIS – Ursuline senior guard Erica Huber was named the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Men’s Basketball Athlete of the Week on Monday.
This is Huber’s first conference weekly honor of the current season and third of her accomplished career.
Huber and the Arrows continued their hot play this past weekend, winning two games and moving their winning streak to 11 straight while remaining unbeaten in the league.
Ursuline posted a pair of convincing, 20-plus point margins of victory against Trevecca Nazarene and Kentucky Wesleyan at home. The Arrows are looking to host the conference tournament for the second year in a row from Pepper Pike.
Against TNU on Thursday, Huber scored 22 points on 8-of-11 shooting, including hitting five of her seven three-point shots, grabbed four rebounds and collected two steals.
Saturday represented UC’s eighth home win of the current season after defeating Kentucky Wesleyan by a score of 89-65. Huber had her second consecutive 22-point game. This time, she was 6-of-12 from the field with four more three-point buckets.
She added three rebounds, five assists and four steals.
Huber currently ranks top five in the league in scoring and three pointers made and three-point field goal percentage.
