INDIANAPOLIS – For the third time this season, Davis & Elkins senior forward Kevin Bracy-Davis was named the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Men’s Basketball Athlete of the Week.
Bracy-Davis was on fire while getting ready to transition into the postseason, averaging 33.5 points and 9.5 rebounds per game.
The Senators earned a win at home against Malone and were edged in a four-overtime thriller on the road to ultimately finish out the regular season. D&E will head into this week’s G-MAC Championship in Owensboro, Ky., as the No. 3 seed in the bracket.
Bracy-Davis had a double-double against Malone with 24 points and 11 rebounds while handing out four assists. He shot 8-of-15 from the field and collected a pair of steals.
In the multiple overtime sessions against AB, Bracy-Davis erupted for 43 points in 47 minutes. He made 12-of-his 22 shots and an additional 14-of-18 at the free throw line. He grabbed eight rebounds and made five three-point shots.
Bracy-Davis goes into the playoffs for his senior year as the G-MAC’s second all-time leading scorer. He finished the regular season as the league leader in points (576), points per game (22.2) and was second in rebounds (8.7).
He also shot over 50 percent from the field and made 79 percent of his tries at the free-throw line. He also was third in blocked shots with 22.
