INDIANAPOLIS – For the second time this season, Ursuline sophomore guard Natalie Koenig was chosen as the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Women’s Basketball Athlete of the Week on Monday.

Koenig and the Arrows played two on the road this past week at Alderson Broaddus and Davis & Elkins, winning both to extend their G-MAC record winning streak to 15 games.

Ursuline also clinched the top seed in the G-MAC Championship for the second year in a row while trying to boost its stock in the NCAA DII Midwest Region rankings. UC was ranked fourth in the first edition released last week.

Koenig erupted for a career-high 35 points against Davis & Elkins in a 16-point win after contributing 10 points, four assists and four steals in an Ursuline rout against AB.

She shot 12-of-20 from the field against hte Senators, which included 9-of-16 attempts from long range, dished out four assists and picked up two steals.

Koenig is one of five Arrows averaging double-digit scoring this season. She is currently third on the team with a 12.4 ppg average. She has started 24 of the 25 games appeared in.
