G-MAC Football Records (2016)
INDIANAPOLIS – The Great Midwest Athletic Conference football landscape will change its shape significantly next season with the addition of five member institutions and Super Region I alignment this fall.
With fax machines humming and NLI’s pouring in from all parts of the country, 2017 National Signing Day produces hard-earned results from the work of coaching staffs on the recruiting trail.
Current G-MAC schools Alderson Broaddus, Kentucky Wesleyan and Malone, along with incoming institutions Findlay, Hillsdale, Lake Erie, Ohio Dominican and Walsh, secured commitments for their programs while building for the future.
Several new coaches, including Jeff Horrocks (Lake Erie), Kirk Campbell (Alderson Broaddus) and Dan Pifer (Walsh), were signing their first wave of prospects.
The eight-team conference standings will be a competitive race in 2017. Alderson Broaddus won the inaugural three-team league title this past fall.
Ohio Dominican was 7-4, Findlay was 6-5, Hillsdale was 5-5, Walsh went 1-10, and Lake Erie was 0-11 in the GLIAC last fall.
