INDIANAPOLIS – After being regionally and nationally ranked in Week 9 of the regular season, Findlay’s football program will retain the same position going into its next contest against Alderson Broaddus.
The Oilers blitzed Malone in a Thursday night affair at the Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton, running their season record to 8-1. UF extended its win streak to seven straight and remains in a first-place tie in the league standings with Ohio Dominican.
NCAA Super Region One is comprised of institutions from the Great Midwest, Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference, Northeast 10 Conference and Mountain East Conference.
Findlay remains at No. 4 in the Super Region One rankings while only trailing undefeated programs Indiana (PA), Assumption and Shepherd, in order.
Slippery Rock comes in at fifth followed by West Chester, Shippensburg, Notre Dame (OH), LIU Post and California (PA) to round out the top 10. With no automatic qualification, the top seven schools from all four super regions will comprise the field for the NCAA Division II Championship.
The Oilers are also ranked No. 22 in the AFCA Top-25 Coaches Poll following their second shutout of the season.
As a team, Findlay leads the Great Midwest in categories like scoring offense, scoring defense, total offense, total defense, rushing offense, rushing defense and pass defense.
