INDIANAPOLIS
- With one game already in the books for Week 9, six teams will take the field on Saturday hoping to improve their current placement in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference standings.

Findlay, the fourth ranked Super Region One team, won its seventh straight game and improved to 5-0 within the conference after defeating Malone 49-0 in Canton. With the loss, the Pioneers are now 1-7 overall and 1-4 in conference play.

The first of the three games on Saturday will kickoff at 12:00 p.m. EST and will feature two teams in the top half of the conference in both total offense and total defense. Hillsdale (4-4, 2-2 G-MAC) ranks second third in total offense and second in total defense and will travel to Philippi, WV, to take on Alderson Broaddus (2-6, 1-3 G-MAC) on tthe Battlers' Senior Day. The Battlers rank fourth and third in total offense and defense, respectively.

The Chargers come into the week tied for third in the conference standings after defeating Walsh 38-0 last week and feature arguably the conference’s top quarterback-wide receiver combination in juniors Chance Stewart and Trey Brock. Stewart ranks second in the conference in passing yards with 2,067 and has thrown for 12 touchdowns in his seven games. Brock comes in as the conference’s leader in receptions (57) as well as receiving yards (924) while tying the conference's single-season receptions record last week against Walsh.

The Battlers will try to combat that with a pass defense that is allowing just over 200 yards per game through the air. Alderson Broaddus also boasts the conference’s leader in sacks. Sophomore Quade Raley has posted 7.5 sacks in just 8 games, which totals 2.5 more than any other player.

The next matchup will have Lake Erie traveling to Kentucky Wesleyan. Both teams will look to avenge a Week 8 loss by winning their second conference game of the season.

This will also feature one of the conference’s top passers against a stout pass defense. Kentucky Wesleyan’s Mike McGee enters the game averaging 242.1 yards per game passing, and will face off against the Lake Erie defense, who is currently allowing just under 200 yards through the air per game and rank second in the conference in the category.

The game will begin in Owensboro, KY at 2:00 p.m. EST.

The nightcap of the week will pit Ohio Dominican (4-3, 4-0 G-MAC) against Walsh (2-6, 2-2 G-MAC), as the Panthers will travel to North Canton, OH at 8:00 p.m. EST in an attempt to keep pace with Findlay and remain undefeated in the conference.

The Panthers will hope for another big performance from the reigning Great Midwest Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week. Sophomore running back E.J. Colson ran for 153 yards and four touchdowns on 17 carries in Ohio Dominican’s 53-13 victory over Alderson Broaddus. Partner that with the conference’s leading passer in senior Grant Russell and that is a very dangerous combination that helps pace the Great Midwest Athletic Conference’s second-highest scoring offense.

Walsh also brings a high-powered rushing attack on their senior night, coming into the week with the second highest team rushing yards in the conference. This comes despite not having anyone rank individually in the Top 5, which speaks to how well the Cavaliers spread the ball around with six players who have over 100 yards rushing on the season, led by senior Kalvin Gordon with 499.
