INDIANAPOLIS - Ursuline freshman Nicole Yeargin and sophomore Janelle Perry were named the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Women’s Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week on Monday.

Perry, who has received G-MAC Athlete of the Week for the second consecutive time, was a provisional qualifier for the long jump this past Saturday at the Hillsdale Winter Opener.

Perry also set a new G-MAC record for the long jump at 5.73m, which she previously held and set last year at the Mid-February Meet with a jump of 5.63m.

Perry’s 5.73m jump this past weekend also has her tied for the 12th-best in the country up to this point in the season. Perry now owns nine of the top 10 distances in long jump conference history.

Yeargin had quite a weekend herself. The freshman finished first in the 200-meter dash and now owns the top time in the event in the G-MAC this season.

Yeargin also owns the third-fastest time in conference history and also holds the fourth-best time as well where she set that at the Kent State Golden Flash Gala in her collegiate debut.
