G-MAC Women’s Basketball Athlete of the Week (Jan. 30)

INDIANAPOLIS – Ursuline sophomore guard Natalie Koenig was named the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Women’s Basketball Athlete of the Week on Monday.
 
This represents her first career weekly conference honor.
 
Ursuline was in action only once this week, winning at home against Malone, 77-74, to remain in the driver’s seat in the league standings. The Arrows extended their current win streak to nine straight and remain undefeated in the G-MAC at 7-0.
 
Koenig, coming off of the bench for the first time this season, scored a team-high 21 points (8-12 FG, 5-5 FT) and added 6 rebounds and 4 assists in 30 minutes.
 
On the season, Koenig, is averaging 11.5 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game. She has started 18 of the team’s 19 contests.
 
Ursuline remains at home this week in the conference schedule, playing host to Trevecca Nazarene and Kentucky Wesleyan.
