Week 1 - G-MAC Football Records (PDF)
GREENWOOD, Ind. - The first three Great Midwest Athletic Conference Football Players of the Week were introduced on Tuesday following the first games of the season played around the league.
G-MAC Offensive, Defensive and Special Teams Players of the Week were selected by the conference as Alderson Broaddus, Kentucky Wesleyan and Malone, officially kicked things off.

#45 Matt Blasiole

Blasiole helped Malone snap a 15-game skid as the Pioneers ushered in a new conference and new coaching era with an overtime win against Taylor on the road.
The junior workhorse ran the ball 22 times for 178 yards against the Trojans, including a 51-yard scoring burst to open the second-half scoring.
He averaged 8.1 yards per carry and hauled in a 61-yard scoring reception in the first quarter for extra measure.

#98 Brandon Lavern

Lavern wreaked havoc in the backfield of Division I FCS opponent Robert Morris, finding his way to the quarterback for three sacks in AB's season-opening 14-7 win. He had four total tackles, including 3.5 for a loss, and was credited with three quarterback hurries.
The Battlers were stout up front all game long against the Colonials, racking up seven sacks as a team and held RMU to just 16 yards of net rushing and 149 yards of total offense.

Moeller converted a pair of field goals and three extra point tries in a game where every point mattered against Taylor. He also handled punting duties, averaging over 34 yards per boot.
Moeller made a 25-yard attempt in the second quarter and later was successful from 28 yards out in the third quarter.
