GREENWOOD, Ind. – Trevecca Nazarene senior Alexa Rippy was the league’s pick for the first Great Midwest Athletic Conference Women’s Golf Athlete of the Month nod for her performance in September.
After leading the conference in scoring average by nearly five full strokes in 2015-16 at 75.80, Rippy’s dizzying career scoring pace is set to be the G-MAC’s best for the foreseeable future.
Her first tournament of the season resulted in another career win for the decorated Trojan, who now has seven career individual medalist honors.
Rippy won the inaugural Great Midwest Fall Invitational in Lebanon, Ohio, at Shaker Run, where she compiled a two-round score of 152.
Rippy fired a 75 on the first day of competition followed by a round of 77 to close out the tournament.
The Trojans are winners of four consecutive G-MAC Championship trophies and made an appearance at the NCAA DII East Super Regional to conclude the memorable 2015-16 season.
