G-MAC Women’s Soccer Athletes of the Week (Sept. 12)

9.12.16

GREENWOOD, Ind. - The second set of Great Midwest Athletic Conference Women’s Soccer Players of the Week were announced on Monday.

G-MAC Offensive Player of the Week
#22 Jill Bohling
Ursuline College
Midfielder
Freshman
Darmstadt, Germany

Bohling was on a torrid offensive tear in the second week of the season, helping the Arrows race out to a 4-0-0 start to the fall.

UC head coach Jason Kubbins has found himself a gem with the German rookie import, who has fashioned an identity as a scoring machine early in her career.

Ursuline currently sits atop the G-MAC standings at 2-0-0 after beating Davis & Elkins and Alderson Broaddus at home in Pepper Pike.

Bohling accounted for all of Ursuline’s scoring, which included four total goals and a pair of game winners.

She is the third Arrow to garner women’s soccer weekly conference honors after pulling a week one sweep from Cassie Cripe (offensive) and Helen Jazzar (defensive). Bohling currently leads the G-MAC in goals scored with five.

The Arrows will next take on G-MAC opponent Kentucky Wesleyan on Thursday in Owensboro.

Rentchler helped her team to a shutout against the pesky Fighting Scots from Ohio Valley. Rentchler made an impressive nine saves in just her second start of the season and her career.

KWC and Rentchler preserved the one-goal edge after Kelsey Humphries scored early in the second half in the 58th minute.
