Cedarville’s Michalski Becomes G-MAC’s First Men’s Track & Field All-American

PENSACOLA, Fla. – Cedarville sophomore Daniel Michalski made league and school history by becoming the first Great Midwest Athletic Conference men’s track and field NCAA Division II All-American.
 
Michalski achieved the feat in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Pensacola, Fla.
 
He also earned the distinction of becoming the first men’s DII All-American at Cedarville.
 
Michalski, a sophomore from Xenia, Ohio, covered the 3,000 meters in 9:03.95 and finished eighth overall.
 
The mark rates #5 all-time in CU track & field history. He owns the #2 through #6 times in the event.
 
Michalski reached the 12-man final with a 9:04.76 in the prelims.
