GREENWOOD, Ind. – Trevecca Nazarene freshman Mary Collins and senior Haley Fagan were named the final set of Great Midwest Athletic Conference Softball Athletes of the Week on Monday.
 
The Trojans completed their fourth consecutive conference tournament title run at Athletes in Action in Xenia, Ohio, winning all four possible games in the six-team bracket.
 
TNU cashed in on its second straight appearance to the NCAA Championship Midwest 1 Regional and is getting ready to face region host Indianapolis on Thursday afternoon at 4:30 p.m. EST.
 
Collins and Fagan were both instrumental in lifting the Trojans as they outscored their opponents by a combined score of 31-1.

Collins, one of 11 Trojans on the G-MAC All-Conference Team, blasted her ninth home run of the season to get the TNU offense tracked early in the conference tournament against Salem International.
 
She hit .500 in four games (5-for-10), scored six runs and had four RBI.
 
Collins went 3-for-3 with four RBI and three runs scored in the 16-0 tourney-opening rout against Salem International. She followed later that day with a 2-for-3 effort against Davis & Elkins in the second round.
 
In the championship final, she scored two runs and drew a walk.
 
Collins was a G-MAC First-Team All-Conference selection and also made the G-MAC All-Freshman Team this spring.
 

G-MAC Pitcher of the Week

Even though teams know what she is throwing from seeing her throughout the season, Fagan remained that much more unhittable as she breezed in the circle for four straight winning decisions and a miniscule ERA.
 
She was touched for just one run in 23 innings of work in the G-MAC Championship, fanning 22 hitters in four starts.
 
Fagan racked up 10 strikeouts against Cedarville and beat the Yellow Jackets twice on Friday, the final day of the conference tournament.

She had an ERA of 0.30 and was named G-MAC Pitcher of the Year for the third consecutive season.
