GREENWOOD, Ind. – Ohio Valley junior Victoria Nichols has been named the third Great Midwest Athletic Conference Women’s Golf Athlete of the Week for the spring season on Tuesday.
 
Nichols guided the Fighting Scots in their own OVU-hosted tournament with two other G-MAC schools in the field last week.
 
As a team, Ohio Valley finished third in the 12-team field. The Fighting Scots also host a fall tournament at the Marietta Country Club.
 
She turned in a third-place effort at the Marietta Country Club, firing a two-round total of 174 (88-86).
 
Nichols carded her best two rounds of the spring. Nichols’ low round of the year came with an 83 posted in the second round of the Michael Corbett Invitational in the fall back in mid-September.
 
Nichols and the Fighting Scots are now preparing for the G-MAC Championship at Four Bridges Country Club.
