GREENWOOD, Ind. – Trevecca Nazarene sophomore distance runner Caroline Hampton was named the sixth Great Midwest Athletic Conference Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Athlete of the Week for 2016 on Monday.

A select few members of the Trojans program competed over the weekend as they traveled south to the Georgia Tech Invitational. 

She has won track and field weekly conference honors four times this year – twice during the indoor season and two times during the current outdoor campaign.

She provisionally qualified for the NCAA Division II Championships in the 5,000-meter run as she clocked in a time of 17:21.37. 

It represents the best time around the league as she gets ready for the G-MAC Championships at Cedarville.
