GREENWOOD, Ind. – Kentucky Wesleyan senior infielder Mackenzie Weedman and freshman pitcher Maci Brown were named as the 13th set of Great Midwest Athletic Conference Softball Athletes of the Week on Monday.
Weedman and Brown were both instrumental with notable hitting and pitching lines leading the Panthers to the No. 2 seed at the upcoming G-MAC Championship held in Xenia, Ohio.

Weedman slugged a home run and three doubles over the course of four games to provide power for KWC as the Panthers won three of four to close the regular season.
She was a combined 8-for-13 at the dish with a .615 batting average and scored seven runs to go with four RBI.
Her first game of the weekend series was a perfect 4-for-4 game with two doubles, three runs and the home run.
She doubled and scored twice to start the second doubleheader and had a hit in every game of the series.
Weedman is tied for the team lead in home runs with five this year. Heading into the postseason, she is hitting .321 with nine doubles, 25 RBI and 26 runs scored.

Brown was named the G-MAC Pitcher of the Week for the second time in her impressive rookie campaign.
She tossed a two-hit complete-game shutout with 10 strikeouts against Salem International to rack up her 10th winning decision this spring.
Brown issued just one walk in a 4-0 KWC win. She has logged nine complete games this season and has a 3.09 ERA heading into the conference tournament.
Brown has also struck out 77 batters in almost 100 total innings pitched that have amounted to 20 total appearances this year.
