GREENWOOD, Ind. - Trevecca Nazarene junior Alexa Rippy was named the fifth Great Midwest Athletic Conference Women’s Golf Athlete of the Week for the spring season.
 
Rippy has had a dominant impact this spring by carding a share of the top seven 18-hole rounds around the league in 2015-16.
 
This time, Rippy was at it again at the Triton Invitational hosted by Missouri-St. Louis in a weather-shortened tournament.
 
In one round, Rippy finished second individually with a 73 posted at the Norwood Hills Country Club. Only Sena Ersoy of Iowa Western CC had a better score with a 72.
 
Trevecca Nazarene finished second of 14 as a team. The Trojans are getting ready for the G-MAC Championship next week at Four Bridges Country Club.
 
Rippy is the reigning tournament medalist in the event following a terrific sophomore season that included NCAA Championship qualifying status as an individual last year.
