GREENWOOD, Ind. – Ursuline sophomore forward Camryn Hill was named the 16th and final Great Midwest Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week for 2015-16 on Monday.
This is Hill’s fourth time having the title as the G-MAC Women’s Basketball Athlete of the Week this year alone.
Hill and the Arrows brought home their first conference tournament title in women’s hoops, clinching a spot in the NCAA Championship Midwest Regional as announced on Selection Sunday.
Ursuline’s first opponent on the docket was Trevecca Nazarene as Hill contributed 14 points, 13 rebounds and five blocks.
Hill was a major component in the championship game win on Saturday with her sharp shooting and clutch timing.
The contest went back and forth against Cedarville, but late in the fourth quarter, Hill hit her fourth three of the game to break a 65-65 tie to bring the momentum over to the Arrows’ side.
Hill ended with a team high 19 points and five rebounds. She also contributed two assists and one block.
Hill and the Arrows look to the NCAA Division II Tournament for the first time in school history in any sport. They will play on Friday, March 11, at top seed Ashland for the quarterfinals at 5 p.m. EST. Ursuline is the No. 8 seed in the Midwest Regional.
