NCAA DII Men's Basketball Championship Bracket
GREENWOOD, Ind. – Great Midwest Athletic Conference tournament champion Kentucky Wesleyan will travel north to begin the NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship Midwest Regional in Kenosha, Wis.
At 27-3 overall, the Panthers will be the underdog as the No. 8 seed and head to top seed and regional host Wisconsin-Parkside on Saturday at a time to be determined.
Kentucky Wesleyan completed its G-MAC Championship run with a win against Trevecca Nazarene in Saturday’s final.
The NCAA Selection Show on Sunday night revealed 18 automatic qualifiers and 46 total at-large selections to comprise the 64-team bracket.
KWC officially received the G-MAC first-ever NCAA Championship bid in the sport of men’s basketball with the automatic qualifier.
The Panthers are also ranked ninth nationally in the NABC Poll and have won 12 straight with G-MAC Coach of the Year Happy Osborne guiding the program.
The Midwest Regional winner of KWC and UW-P will face either No. 4 Lewis or No. 5 Saginaw Valley in the second round on Sunday, March 13.
The Rangers from the Great Lakes Valley Athletic Conference are ranked 14th nationally and dropped the conference tournament title game against Lewis on Sunday.
Wisconsin-Parkside heads into the national tournament with a record of 24-5.
