GREENWOOD, Ind. – Ursuline freshman sprinter/jumper Janelle Perry was named the third Great Midwest Athletic Conference Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Athlete of the Week for 2016 on Monday.
Perry and the Arrows continued their outdoor season as they went on to finish third at the Heidelberg Easter Invitational this past weekend.
Perry came out strong starting the day with a record-setting performance, breaking her own personal and school record, in the long jump with a 5.84m attempt.
That distance was good for her to become the G-MAC’s first outdoor provisional qualifier this current season.
Perry continued her success as she led the pack in the 100-meter dash with a time 12.88. That time is second in the conference this season.
The Arrows continue their outdoor spring campaign as they head to The College of Wooster in Wooster, Ohio, next weekend to compete.
