G-MAC Softball Athletes of the Week (March 14)

GREENWOOD, Ind. – Trevecca Nazarene senior pitcher Haley Fagan and senior infielder Ansley Brantley were named as the seventh set of Great Midwest Athletic Conference Softball Athletes of the Week on Monday.

The Trojans battled against tough competition in Florida during their Spring Break trip. TNU finished 5-3 against regionally and nationally-ranked opponents while ending strong as winners in four of its last five.

Fagan was tabbed for the 11th time in her career as G-MAC Pitcher of the Week following six selections as a junior and three as a sophomore. 

This is her second honor of the current spring season. 

The senior was a true workhorse for the Trojans in seven games started over the past week, logging a total of 44.2 inning while racking up 42 strikeouts. 

She compiled a 5-2 win-loss record with a 2.05 ERA and went the distance in the circle for four complete games.

Brantley batted close to a .400 average in eight games played and started at PFX THE Spring Games in Clermont. 

She scored eight runs and had a pair of doubles while driving in six RBI.

Brantley also swiped seven stolen bases and walked three times. 

This is her second G-MAC Softball Player of the Week honor of the current spring season.
