GREENWOOD, Ind. –
Six teams will compete for the 2015-16 Great Midwest Athletic Conference Women’s Basketball Championship when the postseason officially gets underway next week March 3-5 in Pepper Pike, Ohio.

The bracket was finalized on Saturday at the conclusion of the regular season around the league. At stake, for the first time this year, in Ursuline’s Sister Diana Stano Athletic Center, is an automatic bid to the NCAA Championship Midwest Regional.

By finishing 12-2 in the conference standings, Ursuline and Cedarville were both pronounced co-regular season championships in the G-MAC, but the Arrows became the host institution due to tiebreaker criteria.

Ursuline (23-3, 12-2 G-MAC) finished the regular season on a 10-game winning streak and have received votes in the previous two USA Today Coaches Polls.

The Arrows will receive one of two first-round byes along with defending conference champion Cedarville (21-7, 12-2 G-MAC) as the Yellow Jackets eye their second straight national tournament appearance.

Ursuline will play the early semifinal game on Friday, March 4, at 5 p.m. EST while Cedarville will take the court later at 7:30 p.m. EST in the nightcap.

The first quarterfinal contest will feature No. 4 Davis & Elkins (11-15, 7-7 G-MAC) vs. No. 5 Trevecca Nazarene (8-16, 7-7 G-MAC) on Thursday at 5 p.m. EST.

The other opening-round matchup includes No. 3 Kentucky Wesleyan (16-9, 9-5 G-MAC) clashing against No. 6 Ohio Valley (7-20, 4-10 G-MAC).

Ohio Valley clinched the final postseason berth in the conference tournament on Saturday by virtue of tiebreaker criteria with Alderson Broaddus.

The championship game on Saturday is slated for 4 p.m. EST.

Ticket pricing and information will be announced when available.

The G-MAC is working with the host institution to provide free video/audio and live stats coverage of all five tournament games.
