GREENWOOD, Ind. – Cedarville senior guard Kaysie Brittenham was named the 11th Great Midwest Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week for 2015-16 on Monday.

Brittenham was tabbed for conference weekly honors for the second time in three weeks as the Yellow Jackets completed a perfect month of January (9-0).

The Yellow Jackets remain undefeated in the G-MAC standings as they went 2-0 after beating Davis & Elkins and Alderson Broaddus on their home court.

In the 24 minutes of play against Davis & Elkins Senators, Brittenham was the team’s leading scorer as she went 4-for-5 from behind the arc.

She finished with 16 points for the night and added six rebounds, four assists and two blocks.

Brittenham was once again Cedarville’s leading scorer against Alderson Broaddus as she shot lights out from behind the three-point line again. She knocked down seven threes to end the contest with a season-high 25 points.

In 21 games, Brittenham averages 11.8 points a game, 2.9 rebounds and 2.8 steals per contest.

The Yellow Jackets hope to extend their nine-game winning streak as they look to a week on the road against two competitive conference teams, Kentucky Wesleyan and Trevecca Nazarene later this week.

Saturday’s game against Trevecca Nazarene will be aired on the American Sports Network. A release from the conference office will be provided about channel listings in the viewing area.
