INDIANAPOLIS – Trevecca Nazarene sophomore guard Adi Hale was named the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Women’s Basketball Athlete of the Week on Monday.
Hale thrived in a reserve role as the Trojans collected a pair of wins against Alabama-Huntsville and Fisk over the last week.
Hale scored 21.5 points per game while coming off the bench on 12-of-21 shooting and averaged four steals for first-year head coach Chad Hibdon. She had a total of seven three-pointers made while leading TNU in scoring for both games.
Hale poured in a career-high 25 points in just 30 minutes against the Chargers of UAH on the road, shooting lights out at 8-for-12 overall.
She made all five three-point shots attempted and had two rebounds and four steals.
Versus Fisk, Hale played 30 minutes again with more impactful contributions on the floor. She led the Trojans with 18 points to go with five rebounds and four more steals.
Hale also scored 11 points this past week in exhibition action against Division I Belmont.
Trevecca Nazarene has now had four different leading scorers through its first seven games of the young season (Hale, Sarah Raby, McKenzie Kilburn, Megan Kilburn).
Hale is now second on the team in scoring this season at 9.4 ppg. She has started in four of the seven games appeared in this year.
