INDIANAPOLIS – Davis & Elkins senior forward Kevin Bracy-Davis was selected the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Men’s Basketball Athlete of the Week on Monday.
 
With monster numbers fans have grown accustomed to, Bracy-Davis helped steer the Senators to a pair of wins against Saint Augustine’s (NC) and California (PA) in the past week, D&E’s first victories of the season.
 
Bracy-Davis is now the G-MAC’s fourth all-time leading scorer in the league’s history as he approaches the 1,200-point milestone.
 
He averaged 29 points on almost 70 percent shooting while pulling in 5.5 rebounds in both contests.
 
Bracy-Davis erupted for 35 points on 12-of-15 shooting against the Vulcans of Cal (PA) on Wednesday. He made four three-point shots, was perfect at the line (7-of-7) and filled out the box score with six boards, three each of assists, steals and blocks.
 
Starting the new month of December, Bracy-Davis poured in 23 more points to lead the Senators while helping D&E to a win against St. Augustine’s (NC).
 
Bracy-Davis was over 50 percent shooting again in this one while making 10 free throws and dishing out three more assists with five rebounds.
 
He currently leads the G-MAC in scoring this season (23.0 ppg) and is tied for second in rebounding (8.0). His field goal percentage is third and he also ranks in the top 10 in blocks and three-pointers made.
