INDIANAPOLIS - Alderson Broaddus received the final pairing of Great Midwest Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Athletes of the Week following the program's first league tournament title captured on Saturday.
The Battlers were the No. 4 seed in the six-team bracket, eventually hoisting the trophy after going 3-0 in the postseason.
AB beat No. 5 Trevecca Nazarene, No. 1 Davis & Elkins and No. 3 Cedarville, all the way to the title win.

Franco turned in clutch offensive efforts deep into the postseason to help the Battlers turn away Davis & Elkins and Cedarville.
Franco's game winner in overtime against Cedarville in the title game came just 46 seconds off the whistle past regulation. Franco's shot set off the celebration for the Battlers and their fans that came to Nuttall Field to support the team.
He also had an assist on the game's first goal put home by Shavon John-Brown, the G-MAC Offensive Player of the Year.
Franco had his second game winner of the week when AB beat top seed and tourney host D&E in the semifinals. He scored in the 81st minute to give the Battlers a 2-1 lead and gain control down the stretch.
G-MAC Defensive Player of the Week

Andall, the 2015 G-MAC Defensive Player of the Year, helped slow down a pair of potent offenses against D&E and Cedarville.
Andall is part of an experienced unit that allowed just two goals on 24 combined shots in the semifinals and championship game to close out the regular season.
Andall was selected to the G-MAC All-Conference First Team for the second year in a row.
