INDIANAPOLIS - Kentucky Wesleyan senior guard Ken-Jah Bosley was named the first Great Midwest Athletic Conference Men’s Basketball Athlete of the Week on Monday.

Bosley and the Panthers were able to ring up a pair of wins over the opening weekend at the G-MAC/GLIAC Challenge and Kentucky Wesleyan took down Wayne State (Mich.) and Tiffin.

Bosley averaged 22.5 points per game, four rebounds, a pair of steals and converted 14-of-15 tries at the free throw line for some impressive numbers to begin the season.

The Panthers were coming off of an emotional ride in the postseason that included the G-MAC Championship trophy and the No. 8 seed in the NCAA Championship Midwest Regional. KWC was also unanimously picked first in the G-MAC Preseason Coaches Poll presented by Under Armour.

Bosley’s preseason put opponents on watch as he lit up Division I Western Kentucky in exhibition action with 42 points.

Bosley scored 22 points on 7-of-10 shooting against Wayne State in the season opener to go with a pair of blocks, pair of steals, five assists and four rebounds.

He topped that point total by one the next day against Tiffin with two three-point field goals, four rebounds and two more steals.

In the two games, he shot over 51 percent from the field.

Bosley remains the G-MAC’s all-time leading scorer with 1,556 points in his career to date.
