INDIANAPOLIS - Trevecca Nazarene sophomore outside hitter Clare Taylor was selected as the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Volleyball Athlete of the Week on Monday.
Taylor is the second straight Trojan to earn conference weekly honors after teammate Katelyn Atkinson earned the G-MAC selection last week.
Trevecca Nazarene is currently rolling with a six-match win streak. Most recently, the Trojans answered the call and downed Cedarville in a highly-anticipated rematch of the 2015 conference tournament final.
TNU swept Cedarville in straight sets and took care of business against Ohio Valley in four games.
Trevecca Nazarene is currently undefeated in the young G-MAC schedule at 4-0.
Taylor racked up 33 kills in just seven sets against the two league opponents. She averaged 4.71 kills per set.
Versus Cedarville, Taylor had 15 kills on 45 attacks and accounted for 16 points. While taking on Ohio Valley, she finished with a 16 kill, 18-dig double-double.
Taylor currently ranks third in the league in total kills (204) and is seventh in kills per set (3.04). She is also among the top five in service aces.
