INDIANAPOLIS - Alderson Broaddus senior forward Brittany Minor and Trevecca Nazarene junior goalkeeper Liz Denton were tabbed for Great Midwest Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Athlete of the Week honors on Monday.

Minor and the Battlers had just one game on the docket in the past week, but they made it count with what many would consider an upset win on the road at Davis & Elkins.
Minor sparked the AB offense, with both goals against the Senators in a 2-0 shutout.
Alderson Broaddus has quietly put together a strong stretch in conference play that includes overtime wins against Cedarville and Kentucky Wesleyan and the road victory at D&E.
The Battlers are currently in the midst of a five-game stretch away from Philippi. Minor snapped a scoreless tie early in the second half with a pair of quick-strike goals within a two-minute span.
At 3-3-1, the Battlers enter this week tied for fourth in the league standings and have 10 total points as they continue their postseason push.
Minor is tied for fourth in the G-MAC with four goals this season.

In the last five games dating back to Sept. 19, Denton has not allowed a goal as the Trojans have won four of their last five and are just one point behind Ursuline in the conference standings.
On Saturday, Trevecca Nazarene battled against Kentucky Wesleyan and emerged with a 1-0 shutout win. Denton faced one shot on goal during the game, which resulted in a save.
Earlier in the week, the Trojans engaged in a double-overtime draw against Sewanee. Denton made seven saves in a contest that is recorded as a shutout for both keepers.
She recorded her sixth and seventh shutouts of the season and currently leads the G-MAC with an impressive 0.70 goals against average.
