INDIANAPOLIS - Ohio Valley senior defensive specialist Megan Morrison was named the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Volleyball Athlete of the Week on Monday.

The Fighting Scots played Kentucky Christian and Bluefield State while Morrison quietly put up staggering averages that exceed her already-conference best totals.

In nine sets (two matches), Morrison averaged 7.11 digs per set. She recorded 36 for the second time this season against Bluefield State, the second-highest total in the league this year behind Nicole Venema (KWC) and her 39 digs.

Morrison also recorded 36 digs vs. Malone in conference play.

In a four-set win against Kentucky Christian, Morrison came up with 28 more digs.

She currently is the league leader this season with 478 digs with an average of 5.43 per set. Career wise, she now has 2,116 digs at OVU.
