GREENWOOD, Ind. – Ursuline senior Adaobi Mgbodille was named the second Great Midwest Athletic Conference Women’s Track & Field Athlete of the Week for the indoor season on Monday.
This past weekend, Mgbodille and the Arrows competed in the Capital Challenge Open hosted by Capital University.
Competing in Ursuline’s second event of the season, Mgbodille shined as she recorded the G-MAC’s best time in the current indoor season in the 200-meter dash with a time of 25.78.
Her effort ranks third best in conference history. The overall 200-meter dash record of 25.29 was set by Keyana Roberts (Ursuline) in 2014.
Mgbodille continued to excel as she ran a 57.01 in the 400-meter dash, placing her in first against the other runners.
Ursuline won the event despite competing with a shortened roster.
Ursuline will resume the indoor season Friday at the Bob Eubanks Open hosted by Grand Valley State in Allendale, Mich.
