Cedarville, Davis & Elkins Earn NSCAA 2014-15 College Team Academic Award

KANSAS CITY, Mo.
– Cedarville and Davis & Elkins received the 2014-15 College Team Academic Award from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) as announced Wednesday.
 
The NSCAA annually recognizes college and high school soccer programs that have excelled in the classroom, in addition to their work on the field.
 
A total of 859 soccer teams (306 men, 553 women) posted a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher, thereby earning the NSCAA College Team Academic Award for the 2014-15 academic year.
 
Cedarville was one of 211 schools across the country that had both their men’s and women’s soccer programs recognized.
 
Cedarville’s men’s program recorded a team grade point average of 3.40 while the women’s program posted a combined GPA of 3.52.
 
For the Yellow Jackets’ men, it was their second selection since 2013, and the women extended their current run of three consecutive years with the academic honor.
 
The Davis & Elkins men’s soccer program had a team GPA of 3.14 in 2014-15. This is the fourth consecutive year the Senators have been recipients of the NSCAA College Team Academic Award.
