GREENWOOD, Ind. – Trevecca Nazarene junior outside hitter/middle blocker Katelyn Atkinson was named the third Great Midwest Athletic Conference Volleyball Athlete of the Week for the fall on Monday.
 
Atkinson officially received back-to-back weekly conference honors after getting the nod in the last voting period. TNU currently has a 5-6 overall record while getting ready for conference play.
 
Atkinson had a combined hitting percentage of .347 with 32 kills and only six errors while adding 24 digs to record a double-double in both matches.
 
She also also added four service aces, including two back-to-back, to turn the tide in set three of the match with Urbana. TNU also faced Lee University earlier in the week.
 
The native of Hermitage, Tenn., currently leads the G-MAC in kills per set (3.62), third in hitting percentage (.263) and digs per set (3.30).
 
TNU continues its six-match road swing this week against Kentucky State and King.
