PHILIPPI, W.Va. -- Alderson Broaddus athletic director Dennis Creehan announced Susan DeNillo as head softball coach.

Prior to AB, DeNillo served as an assistant at DIII Allegheny College. She was in charge of all facets of the recruiting process while also implementing team and individual training.

In her time at Allegheny, the Gators posted a 28-19 conference record and were a 2013 NCAA Regional Finalist. She coached 10 All-North Coast Athletic Conference players and two all-region selections.

DeNillo has also coached in the Junior Olympic and high school ranks before joining the Allegheny staff.

She played 99 games over three seasons at Clarion University. She was a three-year letter winner and two-time team captain.

DeNillo takes the reins from former head coach Chad Kerr, who guided the Battlers to a 21-17 overall record in the spring of 2015.  Alderson Broaddus also went 11-9 in the league schedule.

AB featured the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Freshman of the Year, Samantha Turner, at shortstop.
