The 2014-15 women’s golf season resumed in March after the winter months, with the teams working their games back into shape for the G-MAC Championships at the end of April. Ursuline’s Eadaoin Cronin, who was named Golfer of the Month in September during the 2013-14 season, has been named G-MAC’s Women’s Golfer of the Month for March.

March began early in March on spring break in Lake Mary, Florida at the Seminole State College Invitational. In the most difficult tournament the Arrows has played in during the past few seasons, UC finished 13th as the entire field had inflated scores based on conditions.

Cronin and the Arrows regrouped quickly upon returning to the north despite weather playing havoc on a pair of tournaments. The team finished second in their annual Ice Cup Challenge, which was forced to a neutral site two hours south and shortened to one day, and then won the Ohio Northern Spring Tournament, which was also shortened to one day.

Individually, Cronin finished second at the Ice Cup Challenge with a round of 79, and then finished tied for third at ONU with a round of 81 helping her team to a win by 20 strokes.

Men’s and Women’s Golf name an Athlete of the Month, rather than Athlete of the Week due to the fact that the NCAA golf season covers both the fall and spring semesters. Winners will be announced following the months of September, October, March, and April.
