GREENWOOD, Ind. – Trevecca Nazarene’s Lindsey Stephens and Davis & Elkins’ Allie Lapallo both received Great Midwest Athletic Conference softball weekly honors as announced by the league on Monday.
Stephens powered the Trojans to four wins this past week -- contributing with her bat and in the pitcher’s circle for G-MAC Player of the Week status.
Lapallo sustained an impressive start to her rookie campaign with three winning decisions and a save as the Senators extended their notable win streak. This is the second time she has been selected G-MAC Pitcher of the Week.
Both D&E and TNU are tied for first in the G-MAC standings at 6-0 and both programs have won nine of their last 10 games.

The Senators have won seven straight as Lapallo continues to deliver in various ways as a first-year impact student-athlete.
Her most recent success featured winning decisions against Ursuline and Ohio Valley (twice) as she carved out a 1.64 ERA in 22 innings pitched. She also successfully converted a save situation in a relief role.
Lapallo sealed a sweep against Ursuline on Monday with her fifth win of the spring, a six-inning complete-game effort that included just one run on four hits. She struck out two as the Senators rolled to a 9-1 win.
Later in the week, she came back with a three-hit shutout against Ohio Valley as she exchanged four scoreless frames to begin the game with her counterpart Kristine Brown. Lapallo recorded three more strikeouts in the 5-0 D&E triumph.
In another start against the Fighting Scots, Lapallo worked around three earned runs to seal her seventh winning decision in the circle. She came on for two scoreless innings to secure a one-run decision in the series finale to earn her first career save against OVU.
Also posting a .386 average with four home runs at the plate while batting mostly cleanup, Lapallo is 7-3 this year with a 2.35 ERA in nine starts. She has appeared in 12 games and has logged over 62 innings.

Stephens joins the company of her teammates Kelsey Kemp, Ansley Brantley and Haley Fagan, as weekly conference award winners on the deep Trevecca Nazarene roster this year.
In five games, Stephens churned out a .533 average at the plate, including a home run, three doubles and a double-digit RBI total (10) as the Trojans faced Lee in non-conference action and Ursuline in league play.
Stephens plated five runs in the series opener against Ursuline, going perfect at the plate (3-for-3) and legging out a double.
Stephens doubled in three consecutive games this week before blasting a home run in the series conclusion against the Arrows, a game-winning three-run shot in the bottom of the seventh inning to straightaway center.

Equally impressive, Stephens racked up two more winning decisions in the pitcher’s circle with 10 strikeouts spread out over 12 innings.
Through 19 games, Stephens is hitting .345 (19-for-55) with five doubles, a triple and a home run. She is tied with two others for the team lead in RBI and is sporting a 4-3 record with a 2.20 ERA.
