GREENWOOD, Ind. – Casey Smith of Kentucky Wesleyan duplicated another career feat and Kelsey Kemp of Trevecca Nazarene charged the offense as the duo earned Great Midwest Athletic Conference softball weekly honors.
 
Smith hurled her second no-hitter of the spring en route to her second G-MAC Pitcher of the Week selection while Kemp hit .500 with five extra-base hits as the Trojans carved out a four-game sweep at home.

For the second time this year already, Smith was unhittable for the full seven innings, tossing the coveted no-hitter against Salem International in early conference play.
 
After posting a no-hitter against Maryville in early February, Smith was just one walk away from perfection, silencing the Tigers’ bats in a 3-0 KWC shutout victory.
 
Smith struck out two and improved her record to 4-2 as the Panthers improved to 9-6 overall and staked themselves to a 3-0 start in the conference schedule.
 
This year, Smith has a 3.19 ERA in 37.1 innings pitched. She has started six of the eight games appeared in while going the distance in three contests and recording the two shutouts.

Kemp was a thorn in the side of the Alderson Broaddus pitching staff as she went 6-for-12 at the plate with four doubles and a home run. She also drove in five runs and scored four times while drawing a pair of walks.
 
Her slugging percentage in four games climbed to a 1.083 clip and recorded an on-base percentage of .571.
 
Kemp opened the series with a 1-for-3 effort before helping her own cause at the plate with a double and home run in game two of the series.
 
Continuing her strong play on Saturday in another twinbill, Kemp had a combined three doubles in the two games while driving in three and scoring twice.
 
She was the winning pitcher against Alderson Broaddus with a two-hit complete-game shutout in five-inning shortened 8-0 TNU win. The Trojans improved to 10-4 on the year.
