NEW ORLEANS – Ursuline standout and senior Bea Indurain earned U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-American honors announced earlier this week.
Indurain placed in 11th in the country in the 60-meter hurdles to garner second-team recognition.
Student-athletes earned First Team USTFCCCA All-America honors by virtue of finishing among the top eight in their events, including as a member of a relay, at this past weekend's NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships in Birmingham, Ala.
For the first time, second-team honors were awarded to those finishing ninth through 12th.
The All-America designation is the first one and just the latest in a long line of awards for Indurain. The two-time Great Midwest Athletic Conference Athlete of the Week was named the G-MAC Indoor Track Athlete of the Year after helping the Arrows to the track and field conference championship at the league’s inaugural indoor meet.
She was also a finalist for the USTFCCCA Midwest Region Track Athlete of the Year award.
