GREENWOOD, Ind. – The road to the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Men’s Basketball Championship crown will officially run through Rex Pyles Arena on the campus of Alderson Broaddus.

As defending G-MAC tournament champions, the top-seeded Battlers will serve as host for the second straight year in Philippi, W.Va., with five others teams attempting to dethrone AB for the title.

The men’s tournament field is already finalized with Alderson Broaddus, Trevecca Nazarene, Kentucky Wesleyan, Cedarville, Central State and Ohio Valley, all qualifying for the postseason.

The Battlers sealed at least a share of the G-MAC men’s basketball regular-season crown based on Monday’s result with Cedarville toppling Ohio Valley. By virtue of the Cedarville win, AB clinched hosting rights outright as the winner in all potential tiebreaker scenarios.

Alderson Broaddus has been red hot as of late as winners of seven of its last eight games and have showcased an impressive 10-1 record while playing in front of the home crowd.

Alderson Broaddus is currently 19-7 overall this year and has assembled a 10-3 record in the conference schedule. The Battlers will close out the regular season this weekend on the road at Davis & Elkins.

The G-MAC men’s tournament bracket will be finalized by the conference office and be made available to the public when the regular season concludes. G-MACsports.com will also provide an in-depth preview of the matchups.

Video and audio is projected to be streamed for all conference tournament games in Philippi along with live stats.
