This Week In Softball (Feb. 15-21)

2.20.15

GREENWOOD, Ind. – With frigid temperatures and snow being dumped over parts of the country, most of the Great Midwest Athletic Conference softball schedule has been wiped out for the upcoming weekend.

Kentucky Wesleyan will play a few games from the cozy confines of an inflated dome in Illinois while Alderson Broaddus and Davis & Elkins have had their season openers spoiled due to weather conditions.

Current G-MAC Player of the Week Alyssa Discepola found a home in the middle of the lineup for Salem International, making an immediate splash in her first three-game series at the college level. She currently leads the league in hitting along with teammate Katie Chryssofos at .714 early in the spring.

The G-MAC Pitcher of the Week Haley Fagan was masterful in securing a complete-game shutout win against Lincoln Memorial, bouncing back from an uncharacteristic start against West Georgia.

The 3-1 Tigers from Salem International will be idle for the upcoming weekend along with Trevecca Nazarene.
