Kaci Britt Bell has been named the G-MAC Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week after helping her team to a pair of conference wins, including handing #23 Cedarville its first G-MAC loss of the season and extending the teams winning streak to six.

Bell led the Lady Trojans in scoring with 16 points, while grabbing three rebounds - two on the offensive end. The game was decided at the free throw line and on defense. TNU outscored Cedarville 14-6 at the charity line and posted 14 steals to just four for the Lady Jackets. Meanwhile, CU turned the ball over 21 times, compared to just 11 for Trevecca.

In the team’s second game of the week, Bell scored 23 points in a dominating 107-58 win over Central State. She shot 9-17 from the field and grabbed six rebounds. She had four more steals and again didn’t turn the ball over, all in just 20 minutes on the floor.

The two wins helped move TNU into second place, a game behind Cedarville. Over the two contests she averaged 19.5, 4.5 rebounds, 4.5 steals, 2.5 assists, and had no turnovers. She is now just 28 points away from 1,000 in her career. A mark she will attempt to hit this week.
