GREENWOOD, Ind. – Postseason awards continued to pour in for Great Midwest Athletic Conference student-athletes as the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) released its annual regional award winners this week.

The G-MAC had 11 total student-athletes honored to either the first, second or third teams, picked by the professional organization.

The announcement comes following the release of the new Conference Commissioner’s Association (CCA) Division II regional teams in men’s and women’s soccer.

Four different players for the men were selected and seven different women earned regional recognition.

Leading the way for the men on the NSCAA All-Midwest Region First Team was a pair of Cedarville forwards, Connor Gilmour and Zachary Harris.

G-MAC Defensive Player of the Year Alec Andall received second-team status while the third Yellow Jacket, Joe Davison, earned a nod on the third team for the region.

G-MAC Offensive/Freshman Player of the Year Katrina Giantsopoulos headlined three conference picks to the NSCAA All-Midwest Region Second Team on the women’s side.

She was joined by a trio of Cedarville players, Carly Gregory, Grace Miorelli and Jacoby Ziegler, all on the second team.

G-MAC Defensive Player of the Year Taylor Morton, also of Davis & Elkins, was named to the third team with two more prolific playmakers in Vanessa Consiglio (Ursuline) and Anna Hoffman (Trevecca Nazarene).

In comparison from 2014, the G-MAC had seven combined men’s and women’s soccer student-athletes voted to the NSCAA All-Midwest Region Team.
