Three Women’s Soccer Teams in NCAA Midwest Region Rankings

GREENWOOD, Ind. – On the eve of the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Women’s Soccer Championship semifinals, three of the four remaining teams found themselves in the newest NCAA Midwest Region Rankings published today.
 
Davis & Elkins climbed one spot to No. 8, Cedarville came in at No. 9 and Kentucky Wesleyan made a new appearance at No. 10.
 
Those three teams are preparing for the conference tournament semis tomorrow in Elkins, W.Va., at Nuttall Field where they are in contention along with Ursuline.
 
Both G-MAC Championship semifinals will be streamed live with video/audio commentary and live stats on G-MACsports.com.
 
To all the fans/parents planning to tune in, please be advised that due to signal strength in the area, the stream may be intermittent at times, but following a test run today, video does transmit successfully.
 
Davis & Elkins is the G-MAC regular-season champion, top seed and tournament host, while No. 2 KWC, No. 3 Ursuline and No. 4 Cedarville, are also hopeful to advance to Saturday’s final.
 
D&E and KWC received a first-round bye while No. 3 Ursuline toppled No. 6 Alderson Broaddus, 4-2, and No. 4 Cedarville eliminated No. 5 Trevecca Nazarene, 2-1, in the six-team format.

D&E meets Cedarville at 11 a.m. EST while KWC and Ursuline tangle at 1:30 p.m. EST on Thursday.
 
The winner of the G-MAC Women's Soccer Championship gets an automatic qualifier bid to the NCAA Championship.
