GREENWOOD, Ind. – Ursuline sophomore forward Camryn Hill was named the second Great Midwest Athletic Conference Women’s Basketball Athlete of the Week for 2015-16 on Monday.
The Arrows picked up two regional non-conference wins and remained unbeaten early in the year with wins against future 2017-18 G-MAC member Lake Erie and Saint Joseph’s (IN) from the GLVC.
Hill averaged 14.5 points and 13.5 rebounds over the two games while sinking four three-point baskets.
She shot almost 59 percent from the field and was perfect on all five free-throw attempts. Defensively, she averaged 1.5 steals per contest.
In 34 minutes on the floor against Lake Erie, Hill made 7-of-13 shots for 21 points against the Storm. She pulled in 14 rebounds, handed out a pair of assists and had a steal.
The Arrows won 100-69 as Ursuline shot just over 48 percent from the field as a team.
In another lopsided decision, Hill helped control the glass as Ursuline pulled away from the Pumas with 50 percent shooting in the second half.
Hill scored efficiently with two of her three field-goal makes dialed up from downtown. She also had 13 more rebounds to complement two assists and two steals.
Ursuline doubled up Saint Joseph’s in the second and third quarters by a combined score of 32-16. The Arrows had to overcome a five-point deficit in the first period.
On the season, Hill is averaging 12 points and 10 rebounds per game.
