GREENWOOD, Ind. – Kentucky Wesleyan junior guard Ken-Jah Bosley was named the first Great Midwest Athletic Conference Men’s Basketball Athlete of the Week for 2015-16 on Monday.

The Panthers (2-0) rumbled through their first two games of the new season, beating a pair of Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletics Conference (GLIAC) schools as part of the G-MAC/GLIAC Challenge.

Kentucky Wesleyan made the Motor City its own, beating Wayne State on the Warriors’ home floor Saturday before storming back from a 19-point deficit to nip Tiffin on Sunday in Detroit.

Already a two time first team all-league selection in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference, Bosley helped steer the Panthers to the key non-conference/Midwest Region victories on opening weekend.

Bosley averaged 20 points per game while shooting almost 54 percent from the field. He also sank 9-of-10 tries from the free-throw line and had five rebounds.

The Panthers had a game-high 21 points from Bosley in their season opener as he sank 7-of-11 attempts from the field and was perfect on all free throws.

KWC won by a convincing margin of 31, shooting 58 percent from the field as a team.

Against Tiffin, Bosley and Panthers clawed their way back from a seemingly insurmountable deficit. With 1:56 left in the first half, KWC found itself trailing by 19, but cut the lead down to just five midway through the second half.

Bosley made a couple of three-point baskets as part of his 19 points while playing 36 minutes on the floor.
